... a few Zs on the way. The weather improved and we got to see the sun a bit. We had a bit less than an hour before we met Adonis, our tour guide for the King's Palace Tour. The tour group was very large...too large in my opinion. We were a bit back of center and missed a lot of what he said between stops. The beauty is amazing as you can attest if you've ever been here. Through Clovis

A travel blog entry by k.c77 on Nov 13, 2014

As I made my way through Clovis I stopped at a rest station to stretch and get a bite to eat. They had a really cool restaurant called Thai City and I ate the Golden Dragon for $10.95. After that I got gas at a Chevron for $41.66.

High on my bucket was (and I say was) Taos. Poor Tom drove about nine hours, some of them in a raging rain storm. Taos was a bust. We immediately headed for Santa Fe.
The ride, however to Taos was nothing short of spectacular. The landscapes were like paintings. We traveled through sage brush fields and majestic mountains. We miss so much of this beautiful country when we travel by plane.
