    ... OECD country with poorer intergenerational mobility than the US is the UK which still has vestiges of its class system. It is, like all such data, a blunt measure but what is undeniable is that countries with the most even distribution of wealth do best in providing opportunities for their citizens.     Sometimes we could walk faster between bus stops in NYC than the bus driver could drive!
    It was a fabulous trip and thanks to Dave's extensive planning, we saw everything we wanted to see and did everything we wanted to do - a few places we might like to return to but only after we see what else is out there. Great travels to all of you. Not sure what is next for us!

    ... at 3pm. It was 2:50 when we walked in and asked if it was too late to eat. No one was in the place, but us and the wait staff. They said sure, come on in, so we did. It was a very nice and clean place. After we had ordered, another group of three came and ordered, so we didn't feel so bad.
