Not a whole lot to share for today. We both went to work for most of the day and got on the road about 5 PM for a 4 hour drive to Thomasville, GA, where we spent the night with some friends. We had not seen the NeSmith's in a couple years so it was great to spend some time with them even though it was short. It's incredible how fast kids can start playing with other kids they've never met and act like they've known each other for years in no time at all.

... the HOV there was no drama, and I was out of Atlanta in 45 minutes. Key West is about 1500 km south of Atlanta so the original plan was to do it in 2 days, however leaving a little early allowed me to put in about 330 kms and reduce my daily mileage requirements. Tomorrow I will put in a full day and try to get south of Tampa, leaving an easy day for arrival into Key West on Saturday.

We had asked for a pull-through but after going around the Circle twice we couldn't see any sign of a pull-through, in fact the layout was very odd. We finally selected a large back-in site around the edge and got settled in.

When I awoke, the rabbits were already gnawing at the day's supply of carrots. The wolf, so polite during the Thansgiving meal the previous day, had already eaten Grandma and Grandpa rabbit, plus little baby Fifikins. That's when the Marines arrived, ...

... concern about restraining them. They just roam. And why not, it's not like people are walking or riding by. Usually, anyways. Of course, until I come along. Anybody who rides a bike probably has an anti-dog strategy. My first rule of thumb is that if I see them, then hear them bark, they usually aren't a threat. The ones you really need to look out for are the ones where the first thing you hear is their feet scampering across the pavement. They don't usually bark until they ...
