... across the road is a great steak restaruant. Guess that's lunch/dinner planned.

Our other unscheduled stop is Camping World to get a new portable fridge. Our original portable one has died and we can't survive with just the small Eurovan camper fridge. We had been trying to call Camping World all day. Even got the the 800 number people to try and call and no one could get through. We where ...

Passed a huge RV centre called Dave's RVS only to pass a few miles later a place called DEANS RVS. How ironic. We did pass Spunky Gorge too but ...

Exhibits also include the world's largest patch collection and the distinctive mural The Last Alarm. We then headed over to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, which has the world's most extensive collection of American rodeo photographs, barbed wire, ...

... onwards to camp and the $5 dollar surprise..... Hotel and pizza... No tents or cooking, felt like as group we had won the lottery. (Slight downside us blokes are sharing two doubles between 4). Pizza and chilling in hotel room, games rounded off the first day of the mother road 66. It certainly wasn't a let down, the road was everything I imagined it to be and more. And we had only touched the tip. Tomorrow more of the same Route 66 museum and possibly the 72 oz steak food ...
