Omg! Rain! We made camp with seconds to spare as bands of rain rolled in. We did some fishing and football between a couple of bands. Made some tasty hotdogs and buggers over the coals and then ducked into the tent for ghost stories. We will never forget about the birthday girl Sandra who tormented us in our tent all night ...

... washing dishes in hot water! Life was good.

I take Lily for a walk to re-accustom her to grass. She expected snow and is hesitant to explore this prickly brown stuff covering the ground. Once she gets a couple of whiffs of good Oklahoma earth, she is hooked! She Had Arrived, too!

The wi-fi strength is spotty, at best. But, cable TV is hooked up. I clear the table and prepare ...

... Route 66 stops in 2009. As the only constant thing is change, so has the MidPoint Café seen its share of changes. Ownership has changed, and while it looks pretty much the same, we hope that time marching on won’t close this little gem’s doors.
