    We are already planning for next year's adventure and hoping others learn the rewards of travel as much as we have. All four of us agreed it was a wonderful trip and we would travel with Gate 1 again. The hotels were centrally located and there was less pressure to add on every excursion as we found with previous tour companies. Spain and Portugal are beautiful countries with so much history.     ... Bodali, in India. They are in the small town of Beaver Falls near Pittsburgh. Excited about the prospect of seeing them again.

    Our departure from Germantown was on a very wet morning and unfortunately things did not improve on the way north. The scenery was looking good but would have been even better were it not for the driving rain that lashed at us most of the day.
    I keep reminding myself, this is travelling not always a holiday.

    Landed in Alaska . Staying at Hotel Captain Cook. Plane ride highlights included view of Canada Rockies, 4 bags of airline pretzels with garlic powder, and a wonderful book I read "Walk in the Woods" by Bryson about the Appalachian Trail. I bought the book in Chicago and read the book in 5 hours and only then remembered that Ma Bell gave me the book in 1997 . Now I can go back and read all my old books and think they are ...

    Not much happened today, slept in, ate, drove around Pittsburgh, shopped & ate again, this time we went to Denny's Diner.  They burger was very good.  Then we shopped again then headed back to hotel.  Just relaxing now.    Will be heading  off to Washington DC early tomorrow ...
