... a Panns-style diner featured in the Quinten Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction, plush booths and jagged stone brick work. It made me whistle the theme to 77 Sunset Strip. The predominantly black diners seemed as happy as we did to be immersed in the retrospective gustations of Panns, a whole box and dice experience, right down to The Chantel's singing "Maybe" on the jukebox. I'm really excited about Bath, a town named for the Roman Baths it is built upon. If all goes well, we'll be walking into a B&B in Bath in just under 14 hours. ...
... site was great, except for the fact that the train bridge was 50 feet downriver. Once again, we were serenaded throughout the night by passing freight. Early the next morning we walked through downtown New Braunfels, which is working hard to maintain its country charm, with boutiques, bars, theaters located in the old buildings. Oh, the railroad museum looked interesting too.
Today we are off for Padre Island on the Gulf Coast.
