Today was the last day of trek America. I was excited to head to San Francisco but also apprehensive at the thought of being on my own properly for the first time. We left camp around 8 and drove to San Fran, stopping along the way for in and out burger (which was amazing!) and got to San Francisco around 1pm. The first thing we did was walk over the Golden Gate Bridge. It was amazing! So high and I just can't fathom hype engineering of it. It was great to check ...

... sometimes, it is generally very good. I left the netbook at home and just have the iPad for primary consumption device and a Logitech keyboard cover for content creation. An iPhone provides on the move connectivity/data/navigation using inexpensive local SIM cards. Finally, the Seagate Wireless+ unit gives me backup storage and a ready source of all the music, audio books and movies. The movies are not being used. Downtime from travel and sightseeing seems to be short enough ...

We flew into San Jose and got the train to San Francisco. It was an early start which we were finding more difficult as we are now used to the time difference from home. We finally get to our Motel after a short but crazy taxi ride and reception won't accept our US dollar card. We have the option to pay cash which we would need to withdraw or pay by credit card from home. The last thing we wanted to try to work out. In hindsight card is probably the best option but ...

        September Biking

So beautiful to bike along the coast from SF southward.

Lot of traffic today so we pulled over a bit to relax.

Blue, hot, light breeze. The crawling traffic + wearing all gear makes it a tad hot and sweaty but we would never go without.
