Aurora is such a beehive of activity! After last week's business tours and campaign event, it was a pleasure to return for the well-attended Home and Garden Show and to meet with supporters and voters.
What made it extra special was that my interview last week with the Aurora News-Register was in the current week's paper on Page 1, so the new people I met were already somewhat familiar with my name!
... and how inspiring to see what the community came together to build.
We enjoyed the dinner and awards very much, as the contributions of so many people were apparent to Central City's health and prosperity.
I was happy to reacquaint myself with many longtime friends as well as to meet many new people.
... Industries. Thanks to general manager Dan Fitzgerald for the tour and great perspectives on business conditions today.
Capped it off with an interview with Kurt Johnson of the News-Register. Appreciate the opportunity to introduce my campaign to his readership.
Last, but certainly not least, I enjoyed a campaign event hosted for me by several local community leaders in the Bremer Community Center.
... on an icy night. The conversation heated up as we all discussed Obamacare, the EPA and many other hot issues of the day.

... bartender addressed by first name. Her husband and kids came in a few minutes after I had finished my dinner and I left for the Park. Riding up and down rolling hills surrounded by corn as far as the eye can see, I can see the need for all the grain silos on the edge of town. King Korn. Corn definitely rules.
