... other gifts I've been given toward my journey that have arrived in different forms: words of wisdom from one of my friends and mentors, Rob Schware (Executive Director of Give Back Yoga Foundation) reminding me how much growth there is to be had from a place of discomfort; my mother in law, Pam Kvitne, researching how to travel safely; my father in law, Dave Kvitne, giving me his sleeping bag ...

... stopping by the American Pickers headquarters in LeClaire, IA. Trying to get past Des Moines today.

5:47PM CDT update: We had a good ride today. We crossed our first time zone so we gained an hour of daylight. We hit a wicked T-storm south of Chicago and needed a new pair of wipers- thanks Walmart. Found $3.29/gal gas, which was pretty good. The Subaru's getting a consistent 24 mph, which is better than ...

Bob and I are preparing for our two month adventure in Spain. We are attempting to hike 10k every morning and have now added another 10k in the afternoon. Along with the hikes, we have added our backpacks. The question now we are asking each other often, "Why are we doing this?" It seems silly to work this hard in retirement. The Camino is referred to as 'The road of Reflection', so maybe we will figure this ...
