Today we are on the path to home. We plan to travel through eastern Wyoming and then pass through a good portion of northern Nebraska.
We have decided to avoid the western part of South Dakota as motel rooms are scarce because of the Sturgis Bike Week. We have seen lots of bikers on the roads, in the motels, restaurants and gas stations …
... adventure. We were up at 4.30am, to be at the blind by 5.30am (first light). We sat quietly and patiently at the blind but it wasn't long before we heard the rustling of feathers, poor Laurie could hear and see the birds but it would be another hour before he could get a photo. ... it was hind end first. Whew! My credibility was upheld!
Enjoyed dropping in to the gun show associated with Bull Bash. Met a bright young couple who moved here from a faraway state for teaching jobs and because they wanted that unique and wonderful rural lifestyle. So inspired to meet people like that, who are living purposefully and making such good choices!
After a full day, we headed out of town after another highly successful Bull Bash event.
... Fairgrounds. It was a dessert/auction/benefit for the Heart Fund, and what a success! I wore my red tie and Dawn was in a pretty red dress, so we fit right in, and had a wonderful time.
Finally, we relaxed in our room at the Niobrara Lodge, and rested up for a big day tomorrow at the Bull Bash!

Chicago’s Loop is a heap of rusted metal that looks as though it has been screwed together by a talented four-year old and not been painted since.
