It's official: I have been in the States too long. I had a spoonful of Jonathan's root beer float and liked it. Normally I would grimace and never liked the taste of it at all. What has happened ? Jonathan laughed and said that it must be the American air or something :-) We were stuck last night - weren't sure where to go! Too many choices. Decided to head to the east coast via Kansas City, Missouri- to see the Jazz Museum; I'll get to see Charlie Parker's horn! Both miss ...

We left Ada, Oklahoma this morning heading towards the Texas border. As we were approaching Exit 51 to get onto I-35 the interstate was closed. There were no directions as to how to proceed, so we headed to a small store near the exit. ... for Kansas and it's a shame it's such short part of the journey. We drove over the famous rainbow bridge and before we knew it, we were crossing the state border again into Oklahoma. We're not in Kansas any more, Dorothy.

We found the famous Totem pole park near Foyil. It proudly boasts the tallest totem pole in the world. I later googled this claim and found it to be a load of rubbish. There are loads of taller totem poles, some of which are double ...

... Seems to be a good place to have a family reunion. There is a mini golf course, regular golf course, disc golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, etc. etc. The lobby of the lodge had a restaurant, gift shop, and pool room, plus a large sitting area.

We took a walk on a paved trail that was supposed to lead to the marina, but we did not ...
