We travelled the I-20 through Illinois up to Waterloo where we took the 218 up to the I-90. We traveled the I-90 for the rest of the way. Along the way, we stopped at Dubuque, and popped into a store called the hobby lobby! What ...

... to our east and we were on the outer band of it, looking back that was a good thing. we rode the last 45 miles to the hotel in dry weather which was nice it allowed our pants to dry (we were smart enough to put on our rain jackets but not pants).
