... the bus & go to Raleigh. 2 & a half hours later we got here but ten minutes before the hotel and literally round the corner the bus just cut out! Broke down for all of 5 minutes then we got to the hotel and had 45 mins to get changed then go for dinner. It was a buffet dinner at Golden Corral which wasn't amazing but it was alright. ... is a photo of Colonel Mark Slocum with the title "4th Fighter Wing Commander" underneath. I ask the Airman at the desk checking us in, "Is Colonel Slocum the current wing commander?" (occasionally the photos are out of date). He says, "Yes, do you know Colonel Slocum?" I said, "Yes, I didn't realize he was here." On to Montgomery, AL and then Tues. June 2nd we were in Aiken, SC where we visited our dear "old" friends Bob & Bonnie Nowak. Always so nice to spend time with them - sharing news of families & friends. Weather was a little threatening, so decided to forgo a day of golf, and we headed for home a day early!
