    ... planned conversation about how his congregation experiences life and faith together. Nate and I both grew up in Sherwood and have known each other since those early days, although he’s five years older, so I always thought of him (and still do in fact) as a very cool dude.

The Teton Sioux (Lakota) demand one of the boats as a toll for moving farther upriver. A fight nearly ensues, but is defused by the diplomacy of a chief named Black Buffalo.

    We got a good night’s sleep and were up around 7. We had breakfast at the motel and were out by 9. Cool, cloudy and windy today. Good for driving - no glare from the sun. Pretty straight highway as we drive across Illinois on Hwy 80, which is a pretty straight highway and in good condition. There are mostly corn fields and farms and traffic is moving well and pretty light. We’re grooving to the ...
