    The hotel is what you would expect from a Super 8, but the staff was Super nice, and extremely helpful. If you want somewhere inexpensive, this is a good choice.

    Day 2 of little vacationlette was bright and sunny, with no rain in the forecast that might interfere with our plan to go to the drive-in. Said drive-in is in Shelby, NC, about 40 miles from Hickory, so we set off in the morning for a leisurely transfer with a couple of stops en route.

    ... yesterday had a build day #3. We then had laundry duty - literally a tarp full of the dirtiest clothes you can imagine, personally I think the stench rivals hockey and we aren't even in extreme heat yet!
