    The service was excellent. Room very clean. Allowed us to leave our motorcycles in front of the reception area. Pool good hot tub not working at the moment. Continental breakfast was excellent. Would stay there again.

    ... stores near by. I finally found some new "tennis" shoes! I've been looking for a new pair for over 4 months. Then we went to WalMart to pick up something we'd been wanting, and thus the picture that accompanies this entry.

    Tomorrow, we drive further south to Carlsbad Caverns, and afterwards we continue eastward on I-20 into Texas.

    ... TV shows. Took lots of photos & wondered around the museum reading all the affidavits & articles. These people really believe that a saucer crashed with aliens inside and that it was covered up. Were all of these people crazy? Or were they telling the truth? Visit the museum & make up your own mind. Was great visiting real small town America. We visited a couple more antique stores & I really wanted to buy some tea ...

    ... go, right? Well, the New Mexico Bottomless Lake State Park is just outside Roswell. Bottomless, because the cowboys that drove herds up the Goodnight Loving Trail watered their cattle here, and those resourceful cowboys tried to figure out how deep the lakes (really sink holes) were by tying all their lariats together, tying on a stone and tossing the whole shebang in the drink. Either the cowboys didn't have enough lariats or the underground current ...

    ... to make up your own mind. plus, in the centre they have a life-size mock up of the actual crash. i was in total geek heaven.

    That night, and in need of some fun and games, we headed to Farleys Bar across the road and enjoyed a drink. we got chatting to a guy who claimed to be a Navajo descended from Chief Manuelito. we spent the evening trying to learn some basic Navajo phrases - no mean feat when you are quite squiffy.
