    ... an hour before us so we sent her into the garden to pick nanking cherries and she was very happy.

    When mom and I finally arrived at Rimbey, we pitched in and helped pick raspberries. We picked most of one side of the raspberry bushes and the bucket was full. So many berries, so little time.

    I returned to Ponoka to spend the night at Julie's home so I could catch up with. Julie before leaving the area.

    ... the local war memorial. Uncle Bruce died in a plane crash during WWII but fortunately that happened after he gave life to my cousin Ken Fernie. The cenotaph is surrounded by poppies and was quite lovely. I sat on the corner to eat my lunch and shared a moment in their memory.

    So I loaded up my car and was heading out to Calgary. I decided to grab a bite to eat. I was going to go to Dairy Queen but at the last minute I decided to go to MacDonald's. It was really cool inside so I went and sat outside. There was a couple there as well eating with the tea cup poodle. We both ended up finishing eating and headed towards our vehicles.     ... strong winds to Red Deer. All up it was a 6 hour trip. The bikes went well. Once we checked into the hotel carol made a charge for the shower and Tim had to prise her out. Now, properly defrosted, we are sitting in the bar having a Caesar, beers and bourbon. Tomorrow will get an early start and head for Lethbridge. Should be our last day in Canada for a while. Sat in the bar, only Aussies present with Bob and Robin from Gasoline Alley in Brisbane, Walter and Sim, The Gypsy and Toad. See ...
