Time to go to the beach. We are going to watch Nidia's ball game in town at 6. Sun goes down at 5:45 and it is dark shortly after that.Taxis after dark.We watched the Superbowl at the Blue Parrot. That was an experience. I never expected to watch the game at all, let alone with Americans in Honduras! The Easterners (majority) got pretty excited at the end.

... each other. I am so thankful for David because he has shown me that even young people can be incredibly smart and mature. He has also shown me how to gracefully accept constructive criticism and how to own up to your mistakes. I have both love and a tremendous amount of respect for David. I will definitely be going to see him when I return to Peru, and it will be lovely to spend time with him as a friend, not a supervisor.

Needless to say I had a nice laugh and after reassuring her that we'll be fine we locate the parking lot at the base of the mountain and start to gear up. ...
... of the pen. There are 3 kids on each team and they have 45 seconds maximum to catch and mount the pony. The rider must stay on the pony for 2 jumps for their time to qualify. Whichever team has the lowest time is the winner. I think this competition reminds me of my horse riding experiences as a youth.

Ok so it has been a while. Apologies. Banff was fun. Slept in the van with it parked at the local playgrounds. Hit the local hostel bar for cheap food and beer before stumbling back to the car. Banff was beautiful but still that touristy kind of place and it was full of Aussies. From Banff we drove to Calgary which ended up being a little bit different than I expected.
