... part was at the top before the slide started. You step on a platform, and then the ride attendant presses a button, and in 3-2-1, the platform drops and you are sliding down! I think I would have enjoyed the ride more if the platform hadn't vanished beneath my feat!

... a bit of driving we decided to take a break and stretch. We stopped at a Dairy Queen where the family got a Blizzard to share, a Peanut Buster for Mom and an Arctic Rush to share. The service was very slow but Mom said it was the best and most peanut-laden Peanut Buster she had ever had and was well worth the wait.

From here we headed out in hopes of finding a trail where we could hike to the gorge and view the canyon before the thunderstorms let loose. Unfortunately, we were not able to beat the storms so we returned to the hotel.
We didn't put many miles on today but we definitely fed the fun meter for this ...
