... things like My grandparents are – nice. They like to make - a garden. G’ma is good at – crafts. G’pa is good at – building. They live in – a van. The fact that we live in a van hadn’t really occurred to us before, but we guess that’s true. That puts a new spin on things. At least we don’t live down by the river in a van, although some nights that would be an upgrade.

... one horse and buggy ride, where the elderly driver made us laugh over his take on things.
As we'd already done the house tour 3 weeks ago, we decided to leave but before doing so bought some home made Colby cheese to savour on the last 3 weeks of our Incredible Journey through America.
Tomorrow we return the rental car to Chicago. Then stay just one night in that city, as Monday we board Amtrak to head to Salt Lake ...

I get to see my mom and my uncle tomorrow in Middlebury. A bright spot in the midst of losing my grandma was that my Uncle Ryan (who lives in Aigua, Uruguay with my Aunt Draupadi) flew in for several weeks and will now actually have a chance to see our show. Bittersweet, but it will be really lovely to see him again before heads back home.

... up and stretch your legs. It's great. Most places we ate free breakfasts at hotels and cooked our own in the cabins. Probably half the lunches we made. We ate dinner out except in Yellowstone for 4 days. Our biggest complaint is eating out all the time. At home, we rarely eat out. I mean maybe pizza on Fridays and Paul and I on date nights. It makes me ill to think about eating at another restaurant. The kids agree they are sick of eating out too. ...
