... looking for, Bay City Recreation area. We went there and got a few better pictures of the lake, but I still liked Ontario better.

When we got back tot he hotel and checked anew went to the pool, the boys played pool. Later I made tacos in the room with my Nuwave cooktop. Then Ben went for a run and Robbie took a nap while I plotted the next day and posted pictures.

... up for any deviations from the famous itinerary. It's been a long day of driving but we made it to Gaylord Michigan, Bob Evans restaurant next to the hotel, so we don't even need to get back in the Tahoe today. After a big supper Ciera and I decided to walk to Walmart to get snack and drinks for tomorrow's drive, the old guy didn't come with us....claims he's allergic to Walmart....pffft! When we got to Frankenmuth we were in for a surprise. It was a little town like a diamond in the rough. It's like a Bavarian Village and they were having a festival. The village was really pretty and we enjoyed walking around seeing the sights. There was a wooden covered bridge that we were able to walk through as well as lots of neat shops. Yes, the island adventure was supposed to start yesterday, but didn't. Severe weather hampered our efforts to make it to the island. Silly woman didn't think it was safe to travel in an aluminum pontoon boat when there was lightening. Not sure why??? We detoured to the fine super 8 establishment located in West Branch.
