      We continued North, where numerous wineries beckon you to come in for a taste. There were many traffic stops for paving of roads. It seemed like we would just get up to speed and there was that flag person with his "stop" sign.

      We stopped at Hat Creek Ranch and visited the 1800's Roadhouse. The Roadhouse was built on the Cariboo Wagon Road ...

      ... closed as the season has ended) sporting a lovely bar and on the walls are an elk, mountain lion and in front of one window there's a whole taxidermied bear.  (Glad it's closed so I don't have to go in there to eat).  Downstairs there's a full sized billiard table and a massive circular lounge suite which would sit easily 14 people in front of the home theatre.  On the floor there's a massive bison rug.  The washrooms ...

      ... through southern British Colombia through one quaint town after another. I regret not taking pictures at all of the welcome signs. I just got a couple. They were all very unique and usually included a largest of something - like largest fishing pole, largest gold mining pan, largest snow skis.       July 23. Arrived at lac La Hache. Had a great visit with Russ and Lila and stayed the nite.. Thanks again for the hospitality.       ... the heat in the 90's. We headed east along the Fraser River to the town of Hope, where the road turned north, and the temps hit 95 with a nice breeze to keep us comfortable.
