The saving grace was the Apple Pie Bakery, a gourmet cafe housed in the same building where you order your food at the register. After browsing the cookbooks in the book store for about half an hour I was already feeling the need for another meal, nothing a Spiced Squash Puree with Pumpkin Seeds, a Poblano Pepper and Pepper Jack Pretzel, two Macaroons (Fig-Balsamic and Goat Cheese-Honey), and a beer from New York state’s Ommegang Brewery couldn’t ...

If we are really living right, we might avoid a seventh straight day of ...

I visited West Point once when I was a teen with my father and brother on a sort of personal tour with Jim Oest, an older man from their church who was a WWII veteran and could use the PX at the base. That was long ago and is somewhat vague in my memory, but I recall a ...

... it escaped my mind to look into what they might be. I learned the answer a few years ago and put it "on my list" to check it out sometime.

Storm King Art Center is the largest outdoor display of contemporary sculpture in the U.S. covering over 500 acres. It was founded in 1960 as a museum for Hudson River School art in the home that now serves as visitor center, but over the years ...
