... we headed off to bed to read a good book, satisfied we had made the big push through the midwest and now poised to head into Columbus to see my cousin, do some restocking of the larder (Sraddha found a Peet's Coffee store, hee hee) and, hopefully complete the engine service and tire rotation on CharLi, and even get Mr. Toad a bath.

Woke up this morning to fog.

YOLO once again. The trip to Indiana was a veeery loooong one. From La Salle, we went south on I-39 to Bloomington/Normal (which wasn't very normal). From there, east on I-74 into Crawfordsville, IN and onto state highway 32. In Noblesville, IN we got on 38 to Pendleton, and onto 9. That took us south to I-70 east, which carried us to Richmond, IN.

Our way to Indiana was relatively quick and simple. We left from Washington, PA and headed to Wheeling, West Virginia. There we crossed the Ohio River into Ohio. We drove down I-70 through Ohio, going around Colombus and Dayton. We had left about 10 a.m. and arrived around 5 p.m.

... ended, we were told to move all the vehicles onto the parking lot because there was a chance of rain. When rain mixes with mulch and you try to drive a motorhome over it, the mulch wedges itself into the wheel wells and doesn’t go anywhere until you shovel it out. Needless to say, we didn’t want to deal with that, so we moved. I was just happy that, in moving, we ended up on level ground so sleeping would be a lot easier!

Face painting is getting a lot easier…I’ve been doing it for two weeks now and even though I’m still a bit slow (and fighting my perfectionist tendencies constantly), I’m having fun and enjoying seeing the kids get excited when I hold the mirror in front of their faces. I’m still only doing the $5 designs and until I get completely comfortable with those, I’m going to stay away from the $6 ones ...
