... ladies. It was interesting to hear their accents and the language they used. They speak in Pennyslvania Dutch, which is a dialect of German, and in English.

I could go on and on (oh, wait, I guess I have been doing just that!), but the visit was great. Short, but fun and educational! I have always been fascinated by this group of people and was happy to have had the chance to visit for a day.

Until the next blog, happy trails!

Coming from NYC, it was odd to be somewhere where the sky wasn't constantly scraped with buildings and millions of tourists weren't roaming the streets with maps. We arrived in Philadelphia at 4:30 pm EST. Leaving Phoenix was more difficult than usual and I am anxious to see if our luggage arrives in Barcelona. The flight was uneventful and we are now waiting for our direct flight to Barcelona. Yes, our DIRECT flight. We were supposed to fly to Munich and change planes but as it happened Dennis made his daily call to US Air and they asked him why we weren't flying directly ...
