We arrived this evening and checked into our really nice hotel. We then went back out to see if the visitor center was still open. It wasn't, so we went to check out a lighthouse, an old furnace at the Hiawatha National Forest, and a small town called Christmas. We have 2 little houses near the waterfront. We can see across Lake Superior to Grand Island. We are sitting drinking wine and beer. Wes is actually drinking Fosters - a present from one of the Kriewaldt cousins who thought he might be homesick for it. It is in a huge can - 750 ml and is brewed in USA. He has donated the rest of the cans to the family with whom we stayed!!!!
