... Turns out it is a very well renowned place. There were at least 30 cars and 20 motorcycles there when we arrived-and people just kept coming. We soon found out why. Also revisited the Demarest Valley Winery. The dear old Italian owner was still there and running it. He is now 82 years young. His Grappa still kicks ass. I really enjoyed the campus it is very compact and very peaceful by the Hudson River. Lots of stone buildings and signs saying go Army beat Navy. I need to work on my push-ups and cadence songs if I want to go there though. ...
... back to the hotel, which by the way was the worst hotel we've stayed in. Being a Best Western we thought that it would be ok, but here in the U.S. they are allowed to bring their dogs on holiday with them to the rooms. Terrible smell of dog coverup, the place did feel dirty. Our first night was given to us free as the hotel had no water, so girls had to wash their hair over the bath next morning with bottled water, quite refreshing and a lesson learnt by the teenagers.

After a nice snack and break atop the rock outcrop before RattleSnake Mountain, there came a really nice camp site on our left......and since we already did our 15 plus miles....we cut the day short and are now relaxing!
