    ... rented - so I dreaded having to scavenge around for beach chairs. Luckily, we found some fairly quick and I moved our set of chairs to an out-of-the-way area under some shade so we made our own private cabana and saved $120 dollars to boot!

    Kids and Laneshia slept in today, so hopped in the car and went exploring in Downtown Madison. I landed in the city center right at the beautiful Wisconsin State Capitol building. The layout for Madison was an urban planners dream, a perfect grid system with the Capitol in the middle. I grabbed a bite for breakfast which was a sandwhich called a "Teddy Wedger" - funny name but good sandwich.

    After hanging out in this area for awhile (and taking advantage of the lazy river), we decided to check one of the other areas out (called Wild West Water park) to see what we could do around there the next day.     Today began with a very nice breakfast at the Best Western Inn! We noted the threat of thunderstorms and showers throughout the day and decided to stick to our original plan and head for a waterpark in Wisconsin Dells. We took the advice of last night's Front Desk Clerk and headed to Noah's Ark with the 25% off coupon that she gave us.

    In the center of the square is the Historic Green County Courthouse. The building is beautiful! It was hard to take our eyes off of it. It was completed in 1891 and includes a 120-foot clock tower that houses a bell. It has arches, marble pillars and granite block accents at the windows. Google it and check out the pictures. It is ...
