          We slept fine in our first attempt at camping. The state park was quiet and clean. The tents went up in the dark with no problems. Good thing Lee and Kathy put up the tent and slept out in their yard before the trip. When things were set up and bags spread on top of out thermoset pads we stopped for some whiskey. Showers to wash off the bug spray and into our cocoons we went. Up early we joke around with the woman staffing the fee booth, ...

          ... 27th and start our climb up the Pyrenees on the 28th. It's hard to fathom right now! We are so pumped, anxious and excited all at once to get the walk foot in front of the other as we commence our 800 km journey. We hope you'll enjoy our posts as we go.           ... until 5pm when I was meeting Libby at the Toronto star Starbucks. In the evening we met her friends Sara and Katrina for delicious mexican at a super cute place in the Annex where Libby lives. We then went for a walk and saw Casa Loma castle. We had a cigarette as we discussed family...we never had much of a chance to talk about things like that one on one so it was really nice but emotional to revisit these feelings..           Veteran's Memorial Park was our third stop of the day. The park featured a memorial plaque honoring members of the armed services from World War I and II as well as the Vietnam and Korean Wars. Within the park a river ran freely behind a white gazebo with beautiful geraniums lining the walkway. Katie had an attractive purple top on display completing the shot.
