        Our trip has taken us through parts of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and now Illinois. Lots of corn and soy fields. One of the small towns we passed advertised a popcorn festival - very appropriate. Here I am by the cornfield on the way to the Park.

        ... done now onto the State of Indiana (Lincoln’s boyhood home) and over the bridge of the River of Ohio on state highway 41 north. Past the Ellis Park race street. "Thanks to Dawn for the blog details and there will be no hitting of the driver."

        Bill was the first of us to see the route 66 sign on the highway.

        Crossed the White River or Wabash River and drove into Terre Haute to the Quality Inn.

        Bill and Neil walked along the river.

        Good morning we are on the road again. first stop of the day and last stop in Terre Haute the Irishman Covered Bridge built in 1845.It was moved to Fowler Park in 1971 to preserve it. We picked up some Photo Bombers in Effingham at the Corvette Museum. The three pigs Effie, Effel, ...

        ... evening. We have our dinner and have plenty of time to take a walk and relax. This is a nice KOA again. Each park has their own unique atmosphere. This one is done up in the 'Wild West' theme. Check out the pictures for some nice fence decorations. They also have two miniature ponies! Out comes the camera (you lucky readers!) and snap goes the pictures. The trees now have their leaves and it is much warmer here. The boys have settled down and we have a relaxing ...
