... as they jogged past me. They were pretty girls, about high school age. They didn't know much about bicycle touring, even though their town is right on the Northern Tier route. My grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family yesterday early afternoon. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers.

Today is John and my 13th wedding anniversary. A bit bittersweet, but pretty wonderful to spend it with family. Our family bought us a gift card to a local restaurant for an anniversary dinner tonight. There is so much love here right now.

In the morning we left Indianapolis and made our way to Grant County. After checking into the hotel we drove to Carol Sue's house. She only goes by Carol now, but I can't seem to call her just "Carol." She has a lovely home and it was just like old times seeing her. We drove to The Hostess House in Marion to have lunch. ... in love, and we were on the road without having to worry about who would cover our jobs, who would do laundry on Friday, or when we'll be back.

I'll admit; being a towner who joined the circus last year has always made me feel on the outside (not always in a bad way, mind you) but last night I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Kelly Miller Circus is our family and always will be. Thank you, dear friends...we'll see you again soon.

... we travelled on to the KOA. Was a pretty nice campground. Very friendly staff. Well maintained. There was a Wet Hayride that night, but not for us! (If u had little kids they'd prly love it. They drove people thru the campground in a hay wagon. People on board as well as on the ground were armed with water balloons). I'm sure the kids had fun! We were at Tucano's eating all u can eat meat sliced off a stick!! Really good and ...
