The trip across Idaho was uneventful, but a few miles after we crossed into Utah, the winds picked up and got heavier as we drove to Brigham City. Once we got on I-15, we were driving straight into 20 plus mph winds with 30-40 gusts. The winds are suppose to clam down tonight, but climb back up tomorrow so we will hunker down here for a couple of nights.

Zach's birthday dinner was a can of baked beans at our campsite. ...

... dishes, but no chicken. I said, 'what is the soup of the day?' ' Lentil ' he said. 'But it's not very good'. By this time of course we had water poured and utensils ready.
Martha said, shall we leave. So we did.
Down the road was another restaurant where we were served by a warm friendly waitress, and enjoyed a delicious meal of fish, and self help salad at a very reasonable price. We laughed all the way home about our hilarious evening.

... times now, and each time, it's been pure magic. I came the first time by train, sitting in a viewing car at 5am because I couldn't sleep, and then dawn happened and I thought: wow. Just, wow. But, like, religious experience wow. A few years later a search for a gas station in the desert brought us over the border into Utah. I bought a hat, and painted it blue and embroidered it with glitter, because that's how magical Utah ...
