To get from wing C where we landed to wing A, we had to walk through a tunnel underneath the runway. The walls in the tunnel were lined with moving sidewalks and the walls looked like the inside of an ...

... with the assistance of some other EZ pilots.

Right as we were about to start engines and taxi out, who should walk up but Henry Herbert, a long-time Long-EZ builder from Everett? We visited for a while, then got on our way.

We finally taxied out, following the long series of volunteer flagmen who directed us to the runway.

As soon as we got airborne, I remembered why ...
