... up at a campground just a few miles from downtown Nashville, called Two Rivers Campground, on Music Valley Dr. Now we were ready to explore Nashville! Following the advice of our friends Mike and Laureen (frequent Nashville visitors) we headed downtown to listen to Country and Western in the honky-tonk bars on Broadway Avenue. We visited Tootsies, Legend's Corner, and heard a really good band playing in Robert's Western World. Great music and people watching!

KK: Had a swim in the pool then went out to cruise the highlights in our KIA. The famous Grand Ole Opry is ten miles out of Nashville on a ghastly country and western retail park. Willie Nelson has got a place there too and right next door is Cooters named after the dim-wit mechanic in Dukes of Hazard. Both have large cartoon likenesses on the front.

... Cider. Mmmm! It tasted like pumpkin pie.

When we started really making dinner, I was stuck on chopping duty and had very runny eyes from the ridiculously strong onion. Blek. I had very pretty peppers though, in the bowl, they made pretty stripes. Red pepper, green pepper, then onion. After chopping, I sautéed the veggies. I do love how they smell in that sauté mode.
