We easily made the seventy miles from Rockhound to Leasburg Dam SP near Las Cruces today, Monday. We again got led to the Day Use Park by the Phone, but figured it our easy enough. We left early this morning after a long night, it was quite difficult sleeping in the car, but it was worth it to save some money. Now we are arriving in Las Cruces and will be stopping for lunch. We ate at El Torito which was a pretty good mexican restaurant which costed only $25 for our meals. We have filled up the tank again for $28.70

This was my first time coming to white sands with Baxter, and he absolutely loved it. Dogs are meant to be on leash at all times, but Baxter is so well behaved that we gave him a little more freedom, mostly to play fetch with his favorite lacross ball.

    We were able ...
