      After the caverns, we headed back south and then west toward El Paso across a 100 mile stretch of sandy windy nothingness, ultimately reaching Las Cruces, NM and our campsite at Leasburg State Park ($14 for water/electric/showers and beautiful sunset views).

      ... amenities, so the folks say. They went to Tombstone and had a great time. Saw a real life gun fight (the good guy won, DUH!), looked in a gazillion shops, took a trolley ride around town, and had lunch at Big Nose Kate's Saloon (she was Doc Holliday's girlfriend).
