Zip Cars, Costco, Girl and The Goat

... view and downing a round of cocktails, we were again rugging up for the walk to a very popular restaurant, Girl and the Goat, which Sarah had booked back in September to ensure table availability. Apparently the owner/head chef had won TV's "Top Chef" program (Masterchef for professionals) a few years ago and her reputation has placed her restaurant in high demand ever since. McCormick Place is a convention center just off the interstate in downtown. They have a 24 hour manned parking lot for trucks, buses, and RVs....and only $30/night. And, it is only 3 miles from Jeff and Malia's apartment.

Jeff picked us up, took ...

... br> Feeling satisfied that I'd had the true Chicago initiation I headed downtown the next afternoon on a gloriously sunny day (after nervously watching Arsenal scrape past Wigan on penalties). Luckily Leah was visiting home from New York so I was able to have my own little free tour around the Millenium Park area. Nice one.
I know that you probably think a lot of my trip has been based around food, no idea where you got that from, but I genuinely came to Chicago for the ...
