Well, the rocky mountain ski component of our epic adventure was completed this morning. We woke up to it snowing! Not just little bits here and there, it was well and truly SNOWING! What a sight! It seems that we timed our skiing perfectly too. We had 2 amazing days on the mountain, perfect weather and virtually no other skiiers/boarders. With the weather set in today I'm quite happy to be heading back down to Denver as it would not be very nice on the mountain. The trip down ...

Running, of course, was no problem :) Sitting on my butt three times that first week, culminating in a 2.5 hour weekend ride, was unpleasant. I'm not much for sleeping on airplanes, so tomorrow could be a long day. ...

... hike. This was a good call, we walked about 2km to Alberta Falls. This was a very scenic walk and the wildlife, mainly Chipmunks popped up all along the way; Innes and Manny reckoned they sighted Alvin and all his friends, Theodore, Simon, Jeanette and Britney. They are terribly cute and come very close as you stroll along the tracks. On the way down the mountain we also saw an elk and some deer. This was certainly a real ...

... boarding and found out that it’s a free for all and you sit where you want. I explained that I should sit next to my husband and with that, I’m given a “Blue Pass” which allows us to Pre-board.

I’m glad I asked because it turns out that all the seats were sold on the flight to Chicago and following flight to Denver. The flight to Chicago was only an hour or so and we changed timezones – ...
