    ... left the campground before 8 am and headed down to Yosemite Valley. We were hoping to see some wildlife, but the only thing we saw were a couple of mule deer. However, there was ************e else on the road with us and it felt like we had the park to ourselves.     ... Sheryl Crow and Aerosmith recently played there. This is all happening in the small town of State Line (population: 840). While we were there the Eagles were performing at a small, (seats 4,000) outside venue at Harrah's in State Line. Tickets were sold out but we could hear them clearly right outside the gate and watched them on the large video screens (and saved $220).....nice night.

    ... gas station. The store was closed, but the pumps were 24 hours with credit cards, phew! However, the gas price was a staggering $5.26! We only bought 3 gallons, which would be just enough to get us to Lake Tahoe, where we hoped the gas would be much cheaper.
