Today shall be all sightseeing, I think. You never know for sure when you have these many shoppers in the group!

A quick breakfast and we decided we should drive to the end of the road out south so everyone can say they rode down every inch of our highway...all thirty six miles of it! We made it out to Beaver Falls but nobody is up for a two to three mile uphill hike. Go figure! Last time Nina and Jerry came up, we got them to hike up ...

... it is didn't seem to care that we can walk right up to the cruise ships tied to the dock! When some of those ships are in, they are basically the tallest business buildings in town.

We went by Salmon Landing for more trinkets and the all too necessary restroom break. They have a cool Orca hanging from the ceiling. Here we found some really cool t shirts but I don't think Jerry was all to happy when I made him pose with the ...

... see the bear. We watched the bear come into the creek near us and then cross over to our side. We are standing on an embankment a few feet up from the creek so the bear is fairly close and just walks down the creek toward the ocean. Amelia said that was it, she had seen a bear and was ready to go! The rest of us were not done, we stayed a few minutes longer as the bear disappeared and back home for the night for some good conversation and relaxation.

... too to make sure all went smoothly. We didn't need to pay the extra $20 for each checked-in bag which was nice because our final destination was still in Alaska, so that was a little bonus. Our bags weighed 48 lbs and 47 lbs (50 lbs is the max!) It was a 35 min flight to Seattle where we had a 2+ hour wait, long enough to find and buy a camera & have some early lunch as the food on the plane is limited & costs.
The choices for the camera were ...

Day 6 on board the ship. Sea kayaking

... lol ;) . Thankfully we didn't need to risk the waves again. We headed for a closer beach to swap our kayak for the speedboat.
The experience was amazing. Shawn took us back to the ship and en route told us a tale of Fog Woman and Raven Man and why there are 5 different kinds of Salmon in the sea. Very entertaining and educational lol.
We had the best seat in the restaurant in the evening. Next to the window watching the sun set as we eat out dinner. So beautiful. :)))
