    ... which is still Maid of the mist..
    The falls are on the American and Canadian sides of the border..




    We got so close in to the base of the falls it was like being under a tropical monsoon..
    The Capes did a good job but our legs got soaked..
    And our boots full of water..

    Then it was, for me the best of the lot, the journey behind the falls...

    ... from the top of the falls over the edge and over to the Canadian side! We took photos from the top then decided a trip on the 'Maid of the Mist' would wake us up a bit! We headed down and grabbed our free bright blue waterproof poncho and climbed aboard! I didn't quite realise how close (and therefore how wet) we were going to get but it was amazing being so close!
