If you are reading our blog, please pray for the girl’s family and for Clay as he witnessed part of the accident. That is a lot to handle at any age, but he kept his cool. We were so proud of his willingness to run help someone in need without even thinking twice. God had a reason for us being there.

Night 2: To the Badlands
... normal; ">A decent wind made setting camp a challenge, but my campground neighbor was having much more trouble. After setting up, we headed to the lodge to buy ramen and snacks. The saleswoman pointed out I was weating an old Badlands shirt and goaded me to buy a bew one. The sun was setting, which is the perfect time to be in the spires and among the walls of the melting badlands.

We started seeing little casinos as soon as we entered SD. We also started seeing lots of billboards. I'd bet there are at least twice as many billboards advertising Walls Drugstore as there are in Wyoming for Little America. I think this state may get the billboard award on this trip, but we'll see. The Double Rainbow Day.
Today was another long day behind the wheel, but we made some serious miles. Right now we are at Wall Drug in South Dakota, the biggest tourist trap since South of the Border. Very Kitch, but fun. The highlight out the day was a brief storm that led to a spotting of the very elusive double rainbow.
