Our last day in Alaska. We spend our last night in the motorhome in a nice state campground about 25 miles south of Anchorage on Turnagain Bay. Turnagain Bay is a large bay, about 3 mies wide and 40 miles long, and is a tide water bay. The water rushes in from the ocean at dusk and rushes out at dawn. We left our campground at 7:30 am and the water had waves and ripples about 3 ft high as the water rushed out ...

Other than that, I saw a car manufacturing plant in Flint with the most smoke stacks ever, I had my first crossing of the mighty Mississippi River (maybe at its most narrow point at Le Clair, IL), saw loads of farms in Iowa, drove my first two hours of the trip, and witnessed Bob master the new iExit app on my phone to find the best hotel here in the lovely Des Moines, Iowa. Oh yeah, and finished at +3 ...

We took the plunge and pulled out of the driveway. The house was pretty well emptied and Freddie was filled to near capacity with The Liitle Gulp firmly fastened to her car dolly. We had agonized over the weather reports (-25 wind chills with near blizzard wind gusts on Valentine's Day) and decided to wait it out until Sunday. Well, here we were. It ...

... behind Eagle Creek, my mother who suggested I use their products, and my Eagle Scout husband, I look like I know what I'm doing. I am bringing with me an entire American pharmacy and only one "cube" of actual clothing. I have been told by the school as well as Anne, the young lady I've been messaging who is already there attending the 200 hour training, that clothing, yoga mats, books and more are readily available in the town and ...
