With a new car, it won’t break down on me, and it will be less likely to slide off the roads into a snow ditch in the winters, like the VW Bug did that my friend from MSU drove us home in for the holidays. Most importantly, it will be able to go 120 mph easily like our 1963 Chrysler without shaking and making rattling noises.

... dinner/listened to music and just relaxed. There is not cable at this campground, but we don't need it. We did have a DVD and watched a late night movie. At 8:30 it was so peaceful. Tomorrow we head to the Upper Peninsula where we will spend a few days --- probably until Wednesday. Looking forward to it. One thing I can say so far.........people are soooooooooooo nice. Helpful/friendly --- so unlike what we are used to in CT. ...

Basically, it was a choice between staying home or traveling alone – and I wanted to travel. It's not a perfect solution, but it works for me.
