    Getting Ready

A travel blog entry by eagle46 on Aug 08, 2014

We are finally getting to use our newly purchased used motorhome. We purchased a motorhome to make it easier to travel with our 16 year old cat, Ember, who has a number of health issues and needs daily medication. Hopefully she will be comfortable in her home on wheels, and enjoy being with us.

All that is left is the final packing of the motorhome before we set out tomorrow morning.

This is our shakedown journey, so we hope all goes well. ...

RV with some of the most impatient, angry drivers I’ve ever encountered in my life isn’t my cup of tea. We have friends in this entire area so I’m thrilled to have the chance to see them again. A fireman had met up with us out in the parking lot after we drove up and made sure we knew where to park. He said ...

Our plan today was to go wine tasting in Northern Maryland. Lisa and I went online and found a few vineyards with wine tasting rooms and set off. Unfortunately All the vineyards are closed on Tuesdays. So we had to come up with a plan B. We ended up at "The Hollywood Casino." As you can imagine it was a classy place......not. They had no table games so we mostly played Video Black Jack. It was a little weird to ...

A Birthday Gift for Papa-Baseball Game

Celebrated my 68th birthday with a gift to myself-attending the Baltimore Orioles baseball game against the Tampa Rays...It was a hot and humid night at Camden Yards....Attendance very low for a MLB game and it appears the local fans are "fair weather type" fans with the Orioles in the cellar....We had great seats behind home plate and the kids seem to enjoy all the excitement of the game....They were big into the "charge" sound and music-Drew was working to be viewed on the ...
