The Road Goes on Forever, and the Party Never Ends

... if you have a bunch of empty space on a long, boring, straight road it’s always a good to throw up some reading material to keep people from falling asleep. My favorite one pronounced the following: “If the US military is strong, the world remains a safe place. If the US military becomes week, the world will descend into anarchy.” The spelling mistake was included free of charge. In central Kansas I drove through the Flint Hills, a massively empty expanse of ...

by the constant easterly wind that blows off of the Gulf of Mexico. That being
the case, Angie made chicken soup for dinner on Monday from the carcass of the
Sam’s Club chicken we had picked up last week for $4.99. Now this is a great
deal for us. I cut and tear up the chicken from the carcass once we get it home

made it $12.50 for 2. A damn good deal and we were stuffed. Next time stick to
        the BBQ.

Tuesday a bunch of us from the park went out to the
Riverside Club on the Rio Grande River, just east of Reynosa Mx. This is also a
wonderful looking bar and grill that is famous for its Schnitzel dinner served
on Saturday along with an ...

... was funny; there was a designated parking lot, but a lot of people were parking on the other side of the lot and wandering through our backyard trying to find the midway. There were people entering the tent through side flaps and one family who even managed to get stuck between the double fences separating the midway from the animals. Hah!

The first family in line on my side were nice and conversational and when I opened the gates and asked for the ...

... park. Fortunately, they residents were very generous and made it a worthwhile gig, and, we got some exposure. We had some folks that came over from other parks, and they were pleased with what they saw. The phone has already been ringing for bookings for next year. I was very happy to hear more than one person say that Lulu was one of the best entertainers that they had seen in this area. It is nice to know that when we retrace our steps, and be able to shower the RGV ...
