      Day 2 - The Plan

A travel blog entry by thebusseys on Apr 12, 2015

Today the plan is, after we finish breakfast, we are going to get our photos taken using original photography equipment back from the civil war era. We will be dressed according to the period. After that, we will grab lunch to go and head down via Skyline Drive thru the mountains. Due to the weather in Charleston, SC we are no longer heading that way. We will be making our way to Knoxville, TN. Or as close as we can. Today is mostly going to be a driving ...

... said: "We are all the beneficiaries of those who have gone before us."

Nothing earth shattering about either of these quotes, and they are not heady or hard to grasp. They take on new meaning when you spend a week touring through the historical sites of Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln though.

I left the Gettysburg visitor's center wondering if it's possible for ...

Alright, so this post is essentially pointless. I am currently watching the Orioles beat the Yankees in my house. But the only way to see if this blog works is to try it, so here I am. Anyways, I have about 3 weeks 'til I depart for China. I'll be landing in Shanghai on August 25th, where I will be until Sept. 1st. After that, I get shipped out to Hechuan, Chongqing. That's where I'll be until July of 2013, one year closer to leaving my parents' ...
