Made it to Fargo, ND today. It snowed this morning in Wisconsin and we met Emmy's friend for lunch in Minneapolis, MN.
We also stopped at an REI for a few minutes.

Roads in Minnesota this evening were icy in spots and it was very windy, but we went slow and made it here safely.

Sorry, there isn't much else to say since we haven't done any sight seeing yet. Planning on entering Canada tomorrow, so things should become more interesting.

I only had an hour of daylight left and really wanted to go see the headwaters of the Mississippi River so I jumped back into CC and started on the wilderness drive circle around the park to the source.

... of place than driving CC on a state highway during a snow storm in Minnesota. I was getting tons of looks from the locals. As soon as I saw and crossed the Mississippi River for the first time that I got excited again and couldn't wait to make my destination. I was only three hours south of the headwaters but it was already looking like the Mighty Mississippi.

The campground at the Fairgrounds was NOTHING to "write home about" and the only saving grace were the great hot showers we took Friday morning before heading out toward Grand Forks, ND and the Ramada Inn where a block of rooms had been reserved for the Rehovsky and Ford families.
