This morning we hit the road by 10:00, for a day on the road. Driving for a day doesn't seem bad when you're in the RV because we can walk around, and do things. We don't have to stop for the "bathroom" or if we need to make a drink / coffee.. You just get right on up and do it. It is a bit tricky when it comes to navigating around corners if you're not expecting them, but it makes for a fun trip! :) We drove all ...
We crossed back over the Missouri River in South Dakota, and made it into Minnesota. Plains, farms, wind turbines, cows...
We stopped a little bit earlier than expected, but found a hotel right off the highway just as the kids really needed a break or sleep, and went for a great late night hot tub and swim. We'll drive extra tomorrow.
We actually are not in Sioux Falls, SD, yet. From Excelsior, MN, we drove south to Lake Okoboji where the Iowa Lakeside Lab is located. ... as Smoked Hickory, Bacon, Garlic and Jalapeno just to name a few.
We arrived at the KOA in Jackson around 6:30 PM. They have a cute playscape and it took the boys 10 seconds to get out and start running around. Meanwhile, I got the charcoal warming up and got hamburger patties made for dinner.
All in all a really nice day - hardly believe we traveled 450 miles!
