... slowly passed the traffic and questioned the people with their windows open to see how likely our chances were to get tickets at a reasonable cost. We waited in the traffic a while until we decided that we weren't really a chance especially with the 6 of us. Unfortunately we'll have to tick an NFL game off the list further down the track. Happy to have tickets to the NBL anyway.

... about 6, and we covered quite a distance. We crossed the Mississippi River, and we crossed through Iowa, and covered almost all of Minnesota, and stayed the night in Jackson, Minnesota. We travelled the I-20 through Illinois up to Waterloo where we took the 218 up to the I-90. We traveled the I-90 for the rest of the way. We crossed back over the Missouri River in South Dakota, and made it into Minnesota. Plains, farms, wind turbines, cows...

We stopped a little bit earlier than expected, but found a hotel right off the highway just as the kids really needed a break or sleep, and went for a great late night hot tub and swim. We'll drive extra tomorrow.

Severe weather hit on two nights with torrential rains and thunder and lightning. Two gigantic booms of thunder shook the earth beneath the MH.
