JD is in high gear this morning. Took the truck into town for gas and quick Egg McMuffin breakfast. Pack up was quick and on the road by 8:00 am. JD wants to make it in 3 days so we're trying to do 470 miles today. Destination Dothan, AL. It turned 83 degrees in Montgomery - driving with the windows down - nice! We checked out of the hotel in Daytona and drove directly to the huge J&P Cycles Shop in Ormond Beach to get a few more items for the bike to make our ride a bit more comfy. ... and I spotted one this morning lurking in the shallows as we rode past. It really was scenic and some of the massive landholdings and houses we past were really impressive. All of the water front houses were build up on poles because of the floods caused by hurricanes etc. really amazing that they live with that scenario and have built accordingly.
