We walked through the newer financial district to the old downtown part, which I stayed in the late 1970s. The area is even more grungy. It is sad to see the old Art Deco buildings and theatres in disrepair. Enjoyed browsing in "The Last Book shop" which provided some comfy seats.

We very quickly get settled in to the pattern of eat, drink, watch a movie, sleep, eat, drink, watch a movie, sleep etc., etc. Pick up car is waiting at 06.25 to whisk us off to our hotel. Really weird as we have arrived in Los Angeles before we actually left Auckland!!! We have gained a day which is amazing.................can't wait to use it up ha! ha!

... The afternoon was spent recreating Pretty Woman for Zoe by visiting Beverly Hills including Rodeo Drive & the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Luckily for me we saw lots of Ferrari's and amazingly a black and yellow Bugatti Veyron which was the nuts. Tacos, burger, mac & cheese, pretzels during the day with a few beers and the cheesiest fries for diner ended a couple of great days in LA. Off to Mexico ...
