... we could see the whole time! Kathrine, the very nice lady that is managing the camp ground stayed with us and helped Mom and Dad get settled into our camp site! She really likes me and before she left she kissed me on the head and gave me a treat! Tomorrow we get to Tucson and I hear we are staying in one place for 2 whole weeks! I have been taught that at most National Monuments, it is best to look and not touch or go off the paths. So imagine my surprise when I saw people sliding down the dunes on large plastic saucers. I wondered who they thought they were and where were the park rangers. But when we stopped in the Visitor Center, we found that the Park Service ...

... take the more scenic route and head west on Hwy 105/190: our odometer on little "Tammy Toyota" rolls over the 100,000 mile mark and she's still humming along. We have to give her a little pat and some praise to keep her going! Soon all there is to see are miles and miles and miles and miles of nothing but flat scrub brush. Not even a cactus or sage brush lives out here! The countryside is all short, ...
